Bees look to add tournament title to regular-season crown
CCAC Baseball Tournament bracket
With the regular-season championship already in hand, St. Ambrose will look to add a CCAC Tournament title when the six-team conference tournament begins Wednesday at Slammers Stadium in Joliet, Ill.
By virtue of winning the regular-season crown, the Bees will get an opening-round bye and not take the field for the first time until Thursday at 10 a.m.
St. Francis and Judson will start the four-day tournament on Wednesday at 3 p.m. followed by the Indiana South Bend-Saint Xavier matchup at 6 pm.
St. Ambrose (29-19) will play the winner of the St. Francis-Judson game Thursday morning. Second-seed Olivet Nazarene will play either IU South Bend or Saint Xavier Thursday at 1 p.m.
The double-elimination tournament runs through Saturday when a champion is crowned. That winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round May 11-14.
Tickets for the CCAC Tournament will be available for $10 per day.
