Bio

Nick Vollmert returned to St. Ambrose University in 2025 as the Pitching Coach after a successful collegiate playing career. A former pitcher for the Bees, Vollmert also competed at Southern Wesleyan University and spent three seasons in the Northwoods League with the Rockford Rivets, earning All-Star honors in 2023.

Vollmert brings more than five years of coaching experience from various levels. He has served as an assistant coach with the Elgin Warrior Travel Baseball club, interned with the Illinois Indians Travel Baseball program, and worked as a tryout coach for ITB Marucci Baseball. Since 2020, he has also worked as an independent pitching coach, developing expertise in player development, scouting, game management, and data-driven performance analysis.

Vollmert holds a M.B.A. from Southern Wesleyan University, a B.A. in Sport Management from St. Ambrose, and an A.A. from McHenry Community College. He is committed to fostering a disciplined, competitive, and faith-based environment while mentoring student-athletes in their athletic and personal growth.
