St. Ambrose entered a pair of JV squads, with the JV#2 taking home the title in a dramatic finish; they fired a blistering 270 in their final game to earn the victory by 10 pins. There were 10 JV teams in the starting field. SAU team members of the winning squad were Colby Kato (1068-five games), Gavin Finley (1013-five games), Raiden Nakagawa (956-four games), Logan Boll (830-four games), Chayce Stouffer (812-four games) and Drew Ballard (639-three games). SAU's winning pinfall total was 8475, with Mount Mercy JV#1 just 10 pins back at 8465.

The highlight of the weekend was provided by SAU team member Raiden Nakagawa, who closed his Saturday round with a perfect 300 game. The 300 was just the third individual 300 in SAU bowling program history, with the other two coming from Brent Boho and Jordan Monnens; Monnens fired his in this very same event.

Also on Sunday, senior Joshua Prowse rolled his final ball in program history. The two-handed lefty has been a major part of SAU's success in the classroom and on the lanes over the past four seasons. It was an emotional sendoff, with both parents flying up from Florida to be there for his final tournament.

Varsity teams are right back in action this coming weekend at the annual Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. It is the final regular season event on the bowling calendar. Sectional assignments will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
