St. Ambrose, Tyler Close win National Championships

St. Ambrose walked away with a pair of National Championships Saturday in Green Bay, Wis. Tyler Close won the Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC) before SAU knocked off Mount Mercy 3-2 in the finals of the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC).

Siders named to NCBCA and Storm/IBMA All-American Teams

Kendric Siders was named to a pair of All-American teams. He was named a First Team All-American by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) and a Second Team All-American by the Storm/International Bowling Media Association (IBMA).
Alameida and Close named Athletes of the Month; Dance named Team of the Month

Mia Alameida (women’s diving) and Tyler Close (men’s bowling) were selected by the St. Ambrose Sports Information staff as the March Fighting Bees Athletes of the Month. The Fighting Bees Dance team was named March’s Team of the Month.

This past weekend saw men's and women's varsity bowling squads compete at the Kegel Classic in Addison, Illinois. One of the premier events each season, the men's field attracted 68 teams, while the women's field was comprised of 55 teams.

Guillermo Narbona (men’s basketball) and Sarah Jordan (women’s indoor track and field) were selected by the St. Ambrose Sports Information staff as the December Fighting Bees Athletes of the Month. The Fighting Bees Men’s Bowling team was named December’s Team of the Month.
St. Ambrose competes twice in Las Vegas
